In 1988 I passed an international exam to be awarded the Fraternal Insurance Councellor Fellow (only six people in the UK to have ever passed this North American Examination). In 1990 I passed the Foundations of Financial Planning Examination. (this later became known as Financial Planning Certificate 3) In 2002 passed the examination to be awarded the Certificate of Mortgage Advice and Practise. I am currently a member of the following organisations:- Institute of Financial Services, The Chartered Insurance Institute, The Personal Finance Society and Socierty of Mortgage Professionals. I formed Norwood Lake Finances in January 1998. I am a sole trader so apart from my wife Anne who is my personal assistant, I am the only person you will ever have to deal with. So you won't have to explain to somebody else, why you are contacting me thus saving you time and money waiting to talk to a stranger. What will I charge you for my services? The first half hour of your first visit will be free. I will then provide advice either by fees or commission from companies or a mixture of both. As I will work for you unlike somebody tied to a bank, insurance company or fund manager you can be sure I will look after your interests and your interests only. I will research the whole market for you, using every technological means available linking me to the various markets plus also researching the financial press and trade magazines to ensure you get a full picture of what is available for your personal needs. Once I have the information to hand I will ensure that you understand it prior to my putting any recommendations into force.
